During the summer and into the fall, representatives of the RANHDI Community Council have been talking to their neighbors at the Elmwood Bidwell Farmers Market. Over 200 postcards of support were collected in the dozen markets that were attended.
Thank you to all those that volunteered, signed a post-card of support and contributed to this community-led initiative! The Richmond Ashland National Register Historic District Initiative is a collaborative effort to nominate nearly 1,700 mostly residential buildings to the National Register of Historic Places.
The National Register is the nation’s official list of architecturally and cultural significant buildings and places. Listing will provide access to economic benefits for property owners who wish to appropriately improve their historic buildings, including available rehabilitation tax credits.
If you missed RANHDI at the market, please attend our public community meetings at St. John’s-Grace Episcopal Church on Colonial Circle.
